For those of you who know me well, you know that we are raising our nephew Evan. Evan is a great little four year old boy and the love of mine and my wife's life. Evan has some challenges due to the drug use by his mother during pregnancy with him. We have had Evan off and on since his birth in August of 2008. Evan's mother is a drug addict and is in and out of jail constantly for cocaine and other drug related charges. Evan's father, my brother in law, is forty five and lives with us at the moment. He has volunteered to surrender custody to me and my wife for Evan's sake. He is unable to provide for Evan and realizes that which makes things for us a little easier than they would be otherwise. Evan's mother however, is intending to fight, not for Evan but for the child support. We are in a few months going back to court for permanent custody of Evan. We spent several thousand dollars getting temporary custody for just two years. We are asking for donations to help us fight for full custody of Evan this time around. His mother just got out of jail again for cocaine use. She has seen him for a whopping two days this year, the rest of the time she has been in jail. Our court system is such that even with all of these things going against her, she still has a good chance of getting him back. This will be another costly venture for us so I am asking for your help. We cannot allow Evan to go through the trauma of growing up in that kind of environment. Please support me and my family in raising the money needed to fight for this little boy. I can honestly say that his life depends on it. Earnest Lawrence and Billy Massey would like to get together with all of our cousins and just catch up. We want to see as many people as possible and just have a great time. NO DRAMA ALLOWED!!!
